Why Perrywinkle?
I am often asked where I came up with the name for my business. Ultimately, it is the biggest “thank you” to my Dad for providing me with a wonderful education and work ethic. In Bermuda (where he is from) it is tradition for friends to pick out a nickname. Growing up, his last name was “Perry” and you can’t go to the beach without seeing hundreds of periwinkle’s attached to the rocks - and thus, he had a nickname!
I am also fascinated by the Fibonacci sequence, which is a pattern found in nature, seen in the spirals of seashells to the arrangement of leaves. Each number in the sequence builds on the one before it, creating a harmonious progression. For me, this natural rhythm is more than just a beautiful pattern—it’s a reminder of how steady growth and balanced steps lead to lasting success.
As an accountant, I approach financial advisory with the same philosophy.
